Full Description
Capital of Anjou and gateway to the Loire valley, Angers is distinguished as much for the richness of its heritage as for its cultural and economic dynamism. A town in harmony, Angers has been able to control its development and to merge with respect into a natural site of captivating beauty: the Loire valley recently categorized as World Heritage for Humanity by UNESCO. 16th largest town in France, with 156,000 inhabitants within an urban area of 260,000 inhabitants, Angers is above all a youthful town with more than 30,000 students.
The imposing castle fortress watches peacefully over the heights of the town, and in the town the streets are full of museums, gardens, shops, gastronomic restaurants, art festivals and student life which give colour to the famous Angevin beauty. Angers is located equidistant from Paris (2h30 by motorway and 1h30 by high-speed train) and from the Atlantic Ocean. With more than 300 km of navigable waterways and 250km of footpaths for rambling, it provides a range of activities for its inhabitants and its guests.
The development is located in La Fayette square, one of the most well known squares in Angers due to its exuberant local market which is hosted there once a week. It is only 10 mins walk to the very heart of the town and the Cathedral and 5 mins walk to the train station. The area is surrounded by shops, restaurants and little cafes.
The development is elegantly designed, with natural stone and slate roof tiles. It is very much a ‘town house’ and as such comes with private underground parking with lifts to each floor, videophone security and digicode entrances. There are terraces, balconies and some apartments have roof top gardens. The bathrooms and kitchens are fully equipped with the latest fixtures and fittings and are tiled. The rest of the living space is carpeted and on purchase, the owners can have a say in the colour schemes of their own apartments. The apartments will also come with electric blinds as standard.
